About the Club
Northside M.O.M.s gathers the first Thursday of each month* to hear an informational speaker or educational program related to the above-stated goal. Examples of past meeting programs include:
• Car-Seat Safety
• First Aid for Children
• Creative Childrens Activities
• Saving for your childs college education
• Traveling with multiples
A variety of other activities are also available for club members. The summer picnic and winter party are pot-luck affairs open to members and their families. A favorite event is the December Cookie Exchange offering a chance to mingle with fellow mothers of multiples.
A bi-annual used clothing and equipment sale is held in the Spring and Fall. Members receive the advantage of shopping the sales before it opens to the public. It also serves as an occasion for members to sell their outgrown items.
The club has an extensive library of books and magazines focusing on the pregnancy, birth, and raising of multiples and other children. Other club support functions concentrate on bed rest, new mothers, big sister support, breastfeeding, and infant loss.
Northside M.O.M.s meetings are held at Mercy Hospital the first Thursday* of each month. The meetings start at 6:30 for new moms and 7:00 for the general membership. The address is 4050 Coon Rapids Blvd., Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Please check at hospital welcome desk for exact meeting room location.
*There is not a general meeting at Mercy in May due to our Annual Banquet or in December due to our Holiday Party. The January or July meeting may also be postponed a week due to a Holiday. Please e-mail or call a Northside MOMs contact for specific information on these months.
